Our Services are intended for use by customers and prospective customers, in states where we operate stores within the United States.

The purpose of our privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") is to inform you about the types of personally identifiable information we gather about you when you use our Services, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct the information. The phrases "personally identifiable information" or "personal information" mean any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, your internet protocol (IP) address, your email address, your Internet, application, and network activity (such as cookie IDs and browser visits) certain and specified financial account information. Please read our complete Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, which is part of, and governed by our Terms of Use [https://www.ollies.us/store-policies/terms-of-use/]. Whenever you submit information through or in order to enroll in or otherwise use our Services, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, please do not use our Services or submit information to us.

How We Collect personal information from you

We respect and value your privacy.

We collect your personal information from you directly when you: shop in our stores; fill out physical or online forms to request information from us; contact us by email, through our website, or via our mobile applications; enroll in our Ollie's Army program or update your Ollie’s Army member information; or otherwise request to be contacted by Ollie’s. We automatically collect and store certain types of information about your use of Services, including information about your interaction with content and services available through Services.

Passive Information Collection

As you navigate through our online Services, certain information can be passively collected using various technologies. We, or third parties authorized by us, may collect information that is not personally-identifiable about your online activities over time and across different web sites when you use our online Services, such as what browser is being used (e.g., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), the operating system of the device you use to access our online Services or the domain name from which you entered a site (e.g., google.com, bing.com), your internet protocol (IP) address, your interactions with our online Services and the amount of time you spend; however, this information is used only for our own business purposes. We do not control what information third parties collect about you when you navigate their sites, including when you move from third-party sites to our online Services.

Our online Services may use "cookies." A "cookie" is a small file stored by your Web browser to help a particular system recognize you and the pages you visit in our online Services. Cookies allow our Services to recognize you more quickly and provide a customized user experience. We use cookies to help us measure the number of visits, average time spent, page views, and other statistics relating to our Services. The information we gather through the use of cookies is not sold to vendors, advertisers, direct mail concerns, or email list services. If you disable cookies, certain functions of our Services may not work properly or be available to you.

We may use third party analytical applications to analyze the traffic across our Services and collect non-personally identifiable information about the use of our Services by individual users and users in the aggregate.

We do not change our information-collection practices or use of cookies based on the do not track settings in your browser.

We may combine personal information we collect when you complete a purchase at one of our physical locations with other personal information we have about you in order to identify you as an Ollie’s guest. If we are able to identify you as an Ollie’s guest we may, for example, link your activity on our website to your activity in an Ollie’s store or on one of our mobile applications. This allows us to provide you with a personalized experience regardless of how you interact with us – online, in store, mobile, etc.
In order to provide the best guest experience possible, we also use automated information collection technologies for reporting and analysis purposes. We examine metrics such as how you are shopping in our stores, and utilizing our mobile applications, the performance of our marketing efforts, and your response to those marketing efforts.

We use cameras in and around our stores for operational purposes. Cameras may also be used for fraud detection, theft prevention and security.

If you use a mobile device, your device may share location information (when you enable location services) with our websites, mobile applications, services or our service providers. For example, precise geo-location can be used to help you find nearby Ollie’s stores.

Personal information we collect from or share with third parties

We may be provided with additional information about you or your household by third parties, including consumer credit reporting agencies, affiliates, and service providers. We may use this information for fraud prevention, marketing research and analysis, and in order to evaluate creditworthiness or applications for employment. We may combine the information we are provided with by third parties with information that we have collected from you.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. As we develop our business, however, we may sell our business or buy another business. In such transactions, customer information is generally one of the transferred business assets. In the event that we or substantially all of our assets are acquired, personal information about our customers may be one of the transferred assets.

We will also disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property; (c) comply with a written request from a law enforcement agency if the information requested to assist that agency with the investigation/prosecution of a crime; or (d) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our Services or the public.

We have no control over the privacy practices or the content of any of our business partners, advertisers, sponsors or other sites to which we provide links from our Services. We do not endorse, approve or certify these other websites, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, efficacy, or timeliness of the information contained on these sites. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by our online Services and our Services you may utilize in our physical stores or through direct interaction with us whether online or through phone, email, or direct communication, and you should check the applicable privacy policy of the website sponsor when linking to other websites.
